Racing driver Alice Powell will be a star guest at IJL on Monday 02 September. She will appear on the stand of retail technology market lead Pursuit, and set a target lap time to beat on the stand’s IJL Pursuit Grand Prix challenge Scalextric race track. Alice won the closely-contested final round of the inaugural international W Series at Brands Hatch in August. The W Series is the first-ever single seater championship exclusive for women racers. Impressively, after several years out of racing, 26-year old Alice Powell placed third overall in the W Series championship. Alice is attending IJL fresh from a surprise invitation drive last weekend in America’s prestigious IMSA Series for GT cars. She way lying fifth and gaining when rear-ended by another car. Prior to her career break – during which she worked in her father’s building business – Alice had wins competing in both Formula 3 and Formula Renault single seaters.
