This year’s UK Jewellery Awards run by Retail Jeweller welcomed around 600 guests to a five-star venue in central London, including the Pursuit team, to celebrate excellence from every corner of the jewellery and watch industry. The prestigious event has been running for over 30 years and continues to recognise the innovation and talent from across the sector.
Celebrating excellence across UK jewellery and watch businesses
The awards this year were a sell-out with a packed ballroom filled with independent retailers, emerging designers, leading suppliers, manufacturers and wholesalers – all there to celebrate their achievements (and perhaps take home an award). The awards ceremony was hosted by broadcaster Toby Tarrant, but the celebrations truly started afterwards, with a champagne reception, 3 course dinner, live music, DJ, and a charity casino to support the Benevolent Society.
This year’s UK Jewellery Awards winners
There were 19 award categories covering every aspect of the industry, from creative design and best marketing campaign, right through to best employer and service supplier. We wanted to shine a spotlight on some of the leading retail winners of the night so here’s a quick rundown, with some comments from the UK Jewellery Awards judges:
Bespoke Jewellery Retailer Of The Year
Alongside this award, London-based B-Corp, E.C. One also took away the Responsible Jewellery Business Of The Year award, and were highly commended for their commitment to sustainability. In fact, the judges were “blown away by this business’ laser focus on all things ESG related” as well as “its strategic approach to securing bespoke clients”.
Emerging Jewellery Retailer Of The Year
Founded by sisters Deborah and Kirstie, Lustre & Love started in 2021 and has since created its signature collection (plus many more) in the hopes of designing unique jewellery pieces that last. The judges at this year’s awards recognised the emerging brand for its “measurable growth across social media, digital platforms and, of course, when it comes to all-important sales”.
Retail Team Of The Year
Last year, Sonny’s Jewellers took home Jewellery Retailer Of The Year in the 5 stores or fewer category, and this year they’re celebrating their latest win – Retail Team Of The Year. Based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, Sonny’s started in 1968 and is a family-run, independent retailer that prides itself on excellent customer service, which was reflected in the judges comments: “They offer a stellar level of customer service, while also supporting each other to achieve lofty goals in a competitive area.”
Outstanding Contribution To The Industry
A special mention goes out to Peter Taylor, Director of The Goldsmith’s Centre, for his outstanding contribution to the jewellery industry. His work leading the centre has supported the training and development of countless apprentices, designers, and silversmiths, while also creating a real community hub for budding jewellers.

Why we’re long time supporters of the UK Jewellery Awards
As an official supporter of the event, the Pursuit team were in attendance to celebrate our own successes, and chat to retailers about their current challenges. For us, it’s always a great opportunity to network and get feedback on our jewellery EPOS so that we can continue to improve on it year after year.
“Meeting with retailers, manufacturers and wholesalers at the Awards has given valuable insight into the current challenges and opportunities faced by the industry. This information helps us develop and shape our software to best serve existing and new customers with the features and functionality that matters.”
– Gavin Longridge, Business Development Manager
