Meet the Pursuit team
Between them, our newest team members have over 60 years of experience in jewellery retail so they know the day-to-day challenges you’re facing, and how making better use of your EPOS could help.
Gavin Longridge – Business Development Manager
Gavin is our Business Development Manager, and your first point of contact if you’d like to partner with Pursuit to use our EPOS software, hardware and payments products. Gavin brings 20 years of experience in the jewellery retail industry, having managed stores for Beaverbrooks and Hugh Rice. This means he is well placed to address any challenges you may be facing with your current EPOS system, and talk more about how your business could benefit from the latest EPOS tech.

Lily Rice – Training Manager
Working closely with the rest of the support team, Lily is our training manager and is on hand to provide thorough training for you and your staff once onboarded. She also provides refresher training, and tailored sessions that will take your knowledge of the system to the next level, whether that’s building sales reports, or making your stock management processes more efficient. Throughout her career, Lily has developed a passion for training and helping people develop their own skills, and that started while Lily was still at university.
“I joined Hugh Rice the Jewellers as a part-time Sales Advisor whilst studying. I progressed in my 12 year career there to my final position in the company as Store Manager…I have used the Pursuit software for years, so I know it very well. That being said, I am continuously working toward developing my knowledge further to improve the service and support I offer our current and future clients.”
Mike Oldroyd – Account Manager
Mike is our account manager, responsible for supporting new customers once onboarded, and helping all existing customers get the most out of their software and hardware. Mike made the move from jewellery retail management to Pursuit after 30 years in the industry, from the shopfloor at an early age through to more senior roles in some of the UK’s premier and award-winning watch and jewellery retailers. Mike saw the move to jewellery-specific fintech as a natural progression in his career.
“Interesting story – in my early twenties I was asked to deal with a few celebrity clients in “secrecy” and once sold several watches to a famous boxer for over £500,000. I carried a few pieces of stock wrapped up in the inside pocket of my jacket from Heathrow up to Gleneagles one day. There was over a million pounds worth of watches wrapped in bubble wrap in my jacket, which in those days was a lot of money!”
