Pursuit Sonic now available to retailers and suppliers following trial period

EPoS software and solutions specialist Pursuit has completed a successful trial period for its latest software, Sonic, and is now rolling the technology out across the jewellery trade.

Unveiled in July 2020, Pursuit Sonic is a cloud-based software solution that redefines the relationship between independent retailers and suppliers. The comprehensive solution offers stock control, product repair management, Chip and Pin, website functionality, advertising opportunities and data warehousing, in addition to a dedicated Supplier Link and a Marketplace platform and app for B2B stock trading.

As Sonic is new to the EPoS marketplace, Pursuit opted to conduct a trial period with selected independent retailers and suppliers, in addition to its own stringent testing, to gather feedback and tweak usability ahead of a nationwide roll-out.

Pursuit managing director, Mike Burns, explained: “Pursuit Sonic is now immediately available to all retailers and suppliers across the UK. Our testing period throughout August was incredibly useful and we would like to thank the independent retailers, suppliers, trade associations and existing Pursuit customers who have joined us on this journey. We look forward to introducing Pursuit Sonic case studies and testimonials in due course to demonstrate the uniqueness of our cloud-based system.”

In the coming weeks, Pursuit will be on-boarding new clients and collaborating with buying group the Company of Master Jewellers.

Burns continued: “We are pleased to offer the stock control and point of sale facets of Sonic for free to independent retailers. There’s no gimmick to this or hidden agenda – instead, we’ve designed our software purposefully to give retailers this benefit. With another recession and the continuing impact of Covid-19, now is the ideal time to review costs and make proactive business decisions that save you money.”

During the trial period, Pursuit has actively focused on reaching suppliers who, without trade events and exhibitions to strengthen client relationships, are actively searching for new and socially distanced methods of selling.

Pursuit’s latest software is unique thanks to its Supplier Link – a method of bringing retailers and suppliers closer together to encourage more streamlined working relationships in the digital space. By subscribing to Sonic and downloading the free app, sales professionals can see what stock their retailers have and manage timely reorders; track best-sellers, fast-selling lines and sell-through to offer more tailored product suggestions; and can place orders online or through the Sonic app to reduce lead times and minimise the need for regular visits.

Suppliers can access a free three-month trial period to test the productivity of Sonic for themselves. They will then be invited to continue with the service via a monthly paid subscription model, starting from £33 per month.

There are two core elements of the Supplier Link: a Supplier Product Database and a Supplier Sales System. The former functions as an online store, allowing retailers to select products from their existing suppliers or new suppliers to buy and upload into their stock control system. By doing this, independent retailers benefit from the immediate transfer of product descriptions, RRP information and images to their system and/or ecommerce website.

The Suppliers Sale System allows subscribed suppliers to review their products by customer, suggest new products their customers may benefit from, and assess a customer’s current stockholding. Based on this data, suppliers can suggest reorders, which the customer must agree and confirm. The Sonic Supplier App will allow on-the-road sales reps to stay connected no matter where they are via tablet or mobile.
